ADVANCED PLAYER
DEVELOPMENT OFFENSE
Player Development Program (PDP): focuses on advanced stick skill/athleticism development for shooting, dodging, defense, and GBs; position specific skills (while developing multi-positional abilities); winning and defending in loose ball situations, and small sided game play mastery (1v1/2v1/2v2/3v2/3v3/4v3/4v4) from different spots around the goal. The first part of practice is focused on Offensive and Defensive training. Defensive Training: PDP improves general defense-specific reactive footwork, arm work and stick work for 1 v. 1s from each of the 8 offensive initiation spots, as well as team defensive concepts (sliding, doubling, etc.). Offensive Training: PDP builds up advanced footwork, stick skills, shooting, and dodge moves for the 8 offensive initiation spots; players learning 2 and 3 person offensive playing concepts for attacking the goal. The second part of practice builds up from 1v1 into small sided game play. This is a fast paced, high tempo, fun yet challenging program for players who want to improve quickly and bring their game to the next level. Current BBL travel players and previous PDP students are eligible for the class - new players must tryout at the first class. If the Advanced Player Development class is not an appropriate level class for your child, we do reserve the option to move your child to a class where he would develop his skills prior to taking the Advanced Player Development class. If you are unsure about placement in this class, please register for the first day of class that will serve as a tryout for the class. TRYOUT for Advanced Player Development Offense Please note that players need all equipment for this class: Boys (stick, helmet, gloves, arm pads and shoulder pads).
