  • INTRO TO LACROSSE
Introduction to lacrosse is for the beginner player that utilizes fun games to teach fundamentals of lacrosse to young girls. Beginner girls will learn how to throw, catch and pick-up ground balls through fun games. Sessions will progress with skill development moving towards small-sided games and situations. No prerequisites are required. Stick, goggles, and mouthguard are required. Girls’ hair should be tied back and away from their face.
  • PRODIGY
Prodigy is designed for the player aspiring to take the basic fundamentals learned during BBL’s Introduction class to the next level. Prodigy classes will focus at the very basic developmental level of understanding of how to execute the 2-person game inside the offensive end, along with gaining game sense in 2 v2 and 3v3 situations. Examples of concepts stressed are pick and roll, draw and dump, pass and pick away, pass and pick too, give and go, and pick and go. Sessions will begin in a larger space on the field to manage these offensive concepts inside smaller sections of the field such as in the critical scoring area. Prerequistes are not required, but some playing experience is encouraged. If the Prodigy class is not an appropriate level class for your child, we do reserve the option to move your child to a class where she would develop her skills prior to taking the this class. Stick, goggles, and mouthguard are required.
  • SHOOTING & DODGING 2
Shooting and Dodging 2 will focus on what it takes to become and effective and efficient dodger and shooter in high paced and high-pressure situations. The use of both hands during the course will be emphasized. Dodging an opponent in an efficient and effective way is key for an offensive player’s success. Coaches will breakdown dodges such as the split dodge, jab, roll, and rocker into their smallest components to teach players how to execute them successfully. Proper footwork, deception and change of speed will be key components taught during sessions. Players will be expected to take approximately 150 shots during a session under pressure to enhance their overall shooting and dodging skills. Prerequisites are not required, but some playing experience is encouraged. If this class is not an appropriate level class for your child, we do reserve the option to move your child to a class where she would develop her skills prior to taking the this class. Stick, goggles, and mouthguard are required.
  • ADVANCED STICK SKILLS
This is not a beginner’s class and players should already be proficient in catching and throwing. The class will focus on moving while catching and throwing under pressure to simulate more game play skills and will move up tempo than our regular skills classes. Shooting skills will also be incorporated into the curriculum. Stick, goggles, and mouthguard are required.
  • GOALIE TRAINING
BBL's Goalie Training is a great opportunity to receive instruction and have the opportunity to get plenty of reps to practice skills. Please note that players need all equipment for this class: Boys (stick, helmet, gloves, arm pads and shoulder pads). ONLY Sneakers or Turf shoes allowed.
  • ELITE GAME PLAY
Elite game play is the last step in our training series. Players continue to refine their abilities to play in numbered scenarios building from 1v1’s up to 4v4’s from the four quadrants around the critical scoring area, including the crease. If group and field size permits, the small 2-way game will be added to include transition play, clearing and riding. Prerequisites include shooting and dodging, prodigy and stickwork. Stick, goggles, and mouthguard are required.
  • ADVANCED SHOOTING & DODGING
Advanced Shooting and Dodging will focus on building on what it takes to become and effective and efficient dodger and shooter in high paced and high-pressure situations. The use of both hands during the course will be emphasized. Dodging an opponent in an efficient and effective way is key for an offensive player’s success. Coaches ask players to execute dodges such as the split dodge, jab, roll, and rocker under a variety of game situations. Proper footwork, deception and change of speed will be emphasized more than the first level of Shooting and Dodging class.
