Position Specific Training - Offense
This dedicated class is going to push offensive minded players to develop a well-rounded skill set. Training will center around developing advanced individual offensive skills including ball carrying, dodging, shooting on the run, set shooting from the perimeter from the wings, midfield area and attack positions as well as 2 and 3 man teamwork concepts. There are certain skills that set the highest level of players from the rest and we believe it is important to rep and teach those skills, since a lot of a team practice is centered around bigger picture offensive and defensive situations.
Position Specific Training - Defense
This class will focus on defining and refining the crucial skills needed in an impenetrable defense. We seek to improve upon the general defense-specific reactive footwork by utilizing exercises from the best Division 1 programs. Teaching defensive arm work and stick work, and communication for 1 v. 1s from each of the 7 offensive initiation spots. Focusing on other defense specific skills for ground balls, long distance throwing, and more.
Position Specific Training - Goalie
BBL's Goalie Training is a great opportunity to receive instruction and have the opportunity to get plenty of reps to practice skills.
Core 2: Skillmaster
Players will continue to become more proficient with their strong hands while incorporating weak-handed stick skills. A key point of emphasis in this class will be incorporating their ability to pass and catch with a teammate in motion. Players should expect to learn different ways to: receive a pass from a teammate, move after they pass the ball, and how to get open in order to receive a pass from a teammate. We will begin to teach different two-man game movements like give and go’s, backdoor cuts, draw and dumps and the best ways to defend each of them. Players will be introduced to 2v2 concepts ultimately working from each side of the field.
