BOYS WEST ACADEMY CLASSES - FALL 1

BBL Boys West Fall 1 Academy Classes are starting up again! We are proud to provide premier training opportunities for lacrosse players.

INTRO TO LACROSSE

Intro to Lacrosse 1 combines a fun and upbeat atmosphere with teaching the foundations of the sport at the most basic level. This class is for any player interested in learning more about the sport and will focus on skills like hand eye coordination, movement patterns, and the fundamentals of using a lacrosse stick. Over the years we have created a library of drills that focus on the basics while allowing newer players a fun environment that is sure to challenge them yet also gets them ready for taking their game to the next level if they choose down the road! Please note that players only need a stick for this class and we recommend a basic beginner stick. Please note that players only need a stick for this class and we recommend a basic beginner stick.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

The Player Development Training program is three classes built into one. The first 20-30mins of every session develops stick skills from a fundamental basis into advanced content - improving each session on what was covered in the previous week. The middle part of training (30-45mins) focuses on small sided game play content - from 1v1s into 2v1s, 2v2s, 3v2s, 3v3s, 4v3s, and 4v4s - working on building player IQ and confidence to succeed in the various situations they may face. Each sessions ends with 15-30mins of Game Play - providing a structured environment to compete within while allowing players the freedom to test and apply the new ideas they are learning. Most importantly, with each session ending with game play - players leave the session sweaty, tired and happy because they just had a great time. Please note that players need all equipment for this class: Boys (stick, helmet, gloves, arm pads and shoulder pads).
