INTRO TO LACROSSE 2
Intro to Lacrosse 2 is a continuation of the Intro to Lacrosse 1 class where players will be challenged a bit more and begin to work on more in depth skills like passing and catching, throwing on a goal and competing for ground balls. Players will have fun and work on skills while competing in different games. After completing Intro to Lacrosse 2, players will be ready to dive in to the sport! Please note that players only need a stick for this class and we recommend a basic beginner stick. ONLY Sneakers or Turf shoes allowed.
CORE 1: FOUNDATIONS
At the beginning stages of learning lacrosse, we want all players to focus on being great with their dominant hand. This class will focus on passing, catching, picking up ground balls and being able to cradle with the dominant hand so that players can ultimately compete in 1v1 or 2v1 settings. Players will be run through specific drills and also compete in small-sided games. Our Foundations class is focused on building strong all-around lacrosse players who needs more work on his/her dominant hand fundamentals. No Prerequisite Classes Required. Please note that players need all equipment for this class: Boys (helmet, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads and a stick), Girls (stick, goggles and mouthguard). ONLY Sneakers or Turf shoes allowed.
CORE 2: SKILL MASTER
In our Skillmaster class, players will continue to become more proficient with their strong hands while incorporating weak-handed stick skills. A key point of emphasis in this class will be incorporating their ability to pass and catch with a teammate in motion. Players should expect to learn different ways to: receive a pass from a teammate, move after they pass the ball, and how to get open in order to receive a pass from a teammate. In addition we will begin to teach different two-man game movements like give and go’s, backdoor cuts, draw and dumps and the best ways to defend each of them. On top of continuing to focus on individual skills; players will be introduced to 2v2 concepts ultimately working from each side of the field. Prerequisite: Core 1 Foundations Class Please note that players need all equipment for this class: Boys (helmet, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads and a stick), Girls (stick, goggles and mouthguard). ONLY Sneakers or Turf shoes allowed.

REC PREP
Rec Prep will focus on all skills to get players ready for their recreation seasons. Each class will focus on stick skills, shooting and dodging, defensive body and stick positioning, defensive footwork. 1v1 offense and defense from multiple positions on the field. We will also work on specialty concepts throughout the class like draw controls, circle play, 8 meter shooting, reversing the field while clearing. This class is perfect for a player to get a head start prior to the spring season. Prerequisite: Previous rec training Please note that players need all equipment for this class: Girls (stick, goggles and mouthguard). Turf shoes or SNEAKERS ONLY.
SHOOTING & DODGING - LEVEL 1
Our fundamental shooting class that focuses on what it takes to become a great shooter and dodger. Players will be taught proper throwing/shooting forms and how to generate more power in their shots. Learning the correct footwork for each dodge (split, jab, roll, face) starting at a slow pace is critical before progressing into full speed. In order to become strong dodgers we believe that it is important that players have the proper footwork and technique before ultimately incorporating the upper body and the proper shooting form. In one of our classes players can expect to take close to 150 shots or more while being challenged by our coaches to focus on their accuracy and power. Prerequisites: Core 1 Foundations Please note that players need all equipment for this class: Boys (helmet, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads and a stick), Girls (stick, goggles and mouthguard).
