CORE 2
At the beginning stages of learning lacrosse, we want all players to focus on being great with their dominant hand. This class will focus on passing, catching, picking up ground balls and being able to cradle with the dominant hand so that players can ultimately compete in 1v1 or 2v1 settings. Players will be run through specific drills and also compete in small-sided games. Our Foundations class is focused on building strong all-around lacrosse players who needs more work on his/her dominant hand fundamentals. No Prerequisite Classes Required. Please note that players need all equipment for this class: Girls (stick, goggles and mouthguard). ONLY Sneakers or Turf shoes allowed.

Prodigy 1 is designed for the player aspiring to take the basic fundamentals learned during BBL’s Introduction class to the next level. Prodigy 1 classes will focus at the very basic developmental level of understanding of how to execute the 2-person game inside the offensive end, along with gaining game sense in 2 v2 and 3v3 situations. Examples of concepts stressed are pick and roll, draw and dump, pass and pick away, pass and pick too, give and go, and pick and go. Sessions will begin in a larger space on the field to manage these offensive concepts inside smaller sections of the field such as in the critical scoring area. Prerequistes are not required, but some playing experience is encouraged. Coaches will breakdown dodges such as the split dodge, jab, roll, and rocker into their smallest components to teach players how to execute them successfully. Proper footwork, deception and change of speed will be key components taught during sessions. Players will be expected to take approximately 150 shots during a session under pressure to enhance their overall shooting and dodging skills.
